Kilfinan Parish
Local Place Planning with a Climate Lens
This is our first place plan conversation and we hope it will prove to be an ongoing
conversation between our local parish and Argyll & Bute Council in developing rural
solutions that sustain our vibrant rural coastal communities now and into the future.
These proposals have been developed following many months of engagement within the parish.
We had a number of events through-out the year listening to stories and
aspirations about the well-being of our whole community, organising events and
awareness sessions, supporting groups as well as sharing a survey on place planning.
The proposals have also drawn on parallel projects and consultations from other
community groups and organisations.
The draft report will be available for the community to read and comment on until January 2026, when the community will discuss all the feedback at their January meeting. It’s then sent to neighboring community councils and local Councillors to comment before being formally submitted to Argyll and Bute Council.
You can read the full draft report or the draft summary of proposals. There’ll be a few paper copies available to read through-out the parish in local halls, doctors surgery, cafe’s and heritage centre.
We’d love to hear any comments you have. Please tell us what you think, what’s missing
or any mistakes we’ve made.
