Calmac Consultation – Winter 2026/27 Timetable

Calmac are consulting on the Winter 2026/27 timetable for ferry services. They have asked the community council to collect views on any potential changes to the time table.

Guidance on Timetable Requests

Requests for changes will only be considered if they meet the following criteria:

• Must be operationally feasible
• Must be cost neutral
• Fit within current vessel deployment and availability
• Comply with Fatigue Management Rules

Timetables will remain at their current service levels unless a planned maintenance period is being introduced, or other exceptional circumstances require adjustment. If this applies to your area, I will let you know. This consultation process is therefore primarily intended for minor adjustments, such as small timing changes to improve transport connections (e.g. adjusting a sailing by 20 minutes at weekends). It is helpful to include supporting evidence demonstrating how any proposed change would strengthen your community’s economic growth or stability. This will assist our discussions with Transport Scotland. If you require data, such as carrying statistics or other supporting information, please let us know.
