Proposed Routes for the Argyll Rally 2026 Published
The proposed routes for the Argyll Rally 2026 have now been published. You can view the full document here: Argyll Rally 2026 Community Consultation (PDF) .
Kilfinan Community Council was not able to engage with these proposals before their publication, but we are very keen to hear feedback from our communities so that we can work with the rally organisers to ensure the final routes reflect local views.
We have considered the issues raised about the 2025 rally and developed a set of criteria based on the feedback we’ve received. Our aim is to balance the positive and negative impacts of the rally within the Kilfinan CC area.
Our Suggested Criteria
- Minimise the impact on businesses and avoid the closure of any business.
- Enable spectator access, particularly where this benefits local businesses.
- Avoid any road closure lasting more than half a day, minimising disruption to residents.
- Avoid impacting access for tourists.
- No racing should take place after 22:00 hours.
We also recognise the disruption caused by the recce (reconnaissance runs) and suggest this be managed using scheduled time slots to ensure smaller groups of cars.
