Minutes meeting 24th June 2025

1. Present and apologies

Ed Pybus, Nicola Greenall, Robin Webster, John Butcher, Vicky Wince, Catriona Renfrew.

2. Declarations of interest

NG and EP partner work for Abcan.

3. Minutes of previous meeting

Agreed.

4. Matters arising

• Banking update mandate now has 2 signatories with NG still to add so cheques should be signable by VW and EP. Need to change account to get digital banking VW.
• Millhouse cemetery CR still chasing response.
• Register of interests. Hard copies to next meeting CR.
• Resilience planning: EP reported on resilience meeting, potential to plug in a generator but SSE will not provide. Agreed at meeting that CCs need to publicise the priority register, EP to share SSE fliers, CR to Facebook EP to website.
• Rally update: Kirsty Flanagan response to our arrived Friday afternoon. Agreed consider that and feedback from event, including issues at Kilbride and broadband damage, at August meeting. Dunoon CC survey underway and we have promoted it as will provide further immediate useful feedback while we consider our own approach. Agreed to ask Sam Spencer for an early meeting to discuss potential Kilfinan 2026 routes as well as continuing our engagement with other CCs. CR.
• Bin locations: CR to chase up response from Council on Glenan and Otter Ferry bins.
• Landline switch off linking to other CCs update at next meeting.

5. High Brenfield Wind Farm Application Consultation

CR will circulate papers received. EP asking about community benefits, TDDT exploring potential investment.

6. Mapping software

We signed up for 90 day trial bring subscription decision beyond that to august meeting. CR.

7. AOCB

• Community hall facilities update: CR noted CARES Community Buildings Fund available. CR to send information to Ed and he will pick up discussion further alongside existing discussion on internet working. Noted idea of router or digital landline would work. EP to get in touch with Millhouse hall.
• Draft Updated Sectoral Marine Plan for Offshore Wind Energy – consultation, members to contact CR if they wish to see the full papers.
• ACT – West Cowal Rainforest Regeneration Project wants to come to meeting, agreed to invite CR.
• CR raised correspondence from ACT on Cowal Deer Working Group and NatureScot. Agreed this is an important issue for us and we have expressed that interest.
• Housing Need and Demand (HNDA) – Household Survey. Folk will be selected but can we publicise the survey is happening. Add to website EP.
