Bins we agreed to raise provision of large bins at Otter ferry and Glenan Wood
with the Council.
School ragbag proposal we have opened discussions with the school parents and
the charity shop to see if we could progress a clothes recycling scheme.
Community transport: we raised a number of issues at the AB and C Transport
Forum including, issues with the Dunoon Ferry timetable, the size, lack of bookings
and frequency of the Portavadie to Tarbert ferry. Issues with bus services,
particularly absence in school holidays. If you have any issues with transport let
us know.
Community resilience: this was highlighted as a major issue during the recent
storm and lots of views coming in through the local place plan process. We will
discuss this further and look at what other community councils are doing.
Landline digital switch we are looking to get a joint meeting with BT and other
community councils. Please let us have your views so that we can feed them into the
consultation process which BT have established.
Rally update: A and B Council have issued permission for the rally. Their response
to the KCC submission does not address most of the issues we raised including the
impact on local businesses, the environmental impact and the lack of alternative
access. We have written to the Council again to ask for a complete response.
